Marc Anthony Grow Long | Review

It was about one month ago now that I received the new Marc Anthony Grow Long products, including the Shampoo, Conditioner, Volumizing Texture Spray, Miracle Repair Anti-Frizz Spray and the Volumizing Dry Shampoo. Upon first sight I was in love with the bright and fun PINK packaging, but if there is one thing us ladies have come to know very well, its less about what it looks like, and more about how it leaves your hair looking… so how did it measure up?

Let’s start (at the beginning) with the Shampoo and Conditioner:

Marc Anthony Grow Long Caffeine & Ginseng Shampoo & Conditioner:
It has to be said that these are a definite new favourite in my hair care routine. The products contain Caffeine & Ginseng, as you can see on the front of the (gorgeous) packaging, and as if that is not enough, they also contain Vitamin E. All these products help promote hair growth, a healthy shine, repair dry brittle hair and keep your hair long because it is strong 🙂
I have got to say that my hair feels soft and sleek, looks shiny and happy, and smells beautiful – is there anything better than gorgeous smelling tresses?? Nope! The shampoo is a light blue fluid that is in my mind the perfect shampoo consistency – not too runny that falls through your fingers before you get it on your head, not too thick that it doesn’t feel like it cleans – just perfect! And I love how it foams up too.
The conditioner is the perfect cream consistency too, and feels super nourishing. It doesn’t even have to stay on too long before you can feel it detangling your tresses, and ready to rinse.
I have many friends who never put conditioner on their scalps, I don’t normally “lather” my scalp, but if I have recently had my colour done I like to nourish my scalp a little bit with conditioner for a brief few moments, and then rinse thoroughly.
Oh! Did I mention that I always shampoo at least twice?

Nurturing Nannies | WIN

We were gifted with a term of Nurturing Nannies classes, and I can honestly say that it was the most wonderful gift, and it blessed three of us: me, my daughter and my nanny…  truly the gift that kept on giving 🙂

We decided that, for a few reasons, we were not quite ready to send our little last-born lamb to school just yet, and that meant she would be at home with me when I was home, but mostly with her other mommy; her Nanny, Fungai. Continue reading “Nurturing Nannies | WIN”

Tea4Kidz – Laager

With so many over sweetened, artificially coloured, and sugared-up choices for kids, I absolutely love it when brands that offer healthy alternatives for kids make moms’ lives easier by making the products exciting and enticing for our littles.
One such brand is Laager, with their introduction of the #Tea4Kidz range. Not only is the packaging fun and exciting, the flavours are too! Continue reading “Tea4Kidz – Laager”

The Cavern | Review

The Cavern Resort & Spa in the Drakensberg just gave us one of our best family holidays yet. It was a beautiful holiday for all five of us and here are 10 reasons why they get it all so right for both parents and kids:

Flavour of the month | Beauty. Skin. Hair

Hi lovelies!
It has been a good long while since my last “Flavour of the month” post!
I am so sorry about that! I am super excited to share this lot with you though! Hope you enjoy, let me know if you try any of them and what you think…

Starting with the most important: Skin care. Because it doesn’t matter what you put on your face to pretty it up, if the base coat (your skin) is not clear and glowing, well then nothing will look all that good, will it?!
I have really been struggling with bad skin lately, and it seriously got me down last month. I just didn’t know what to do anymore, my self confidence took a huge knock, and nothing I was doing was helping. I had heard a lot about the new Eucerin range and I figured I should give it a try.
I have been so pleasantly surprised by this range, I honestly feel so happy that I found it.

Avon Anew Reversalist Night Cream | Review

IMG_4207.jpg

I was asked to be part of the #AvonAnew30DayChallenge and trial the revolutionary new product from Avon: Anew Infinite Effects Night Treatment Cream. This could not have come at a better time as just before I got the mail I was hounding my hubby to please allow me to invest in some skin care that actually helped me with anti-aging, as after a stressful build, move and sick kiddies, I was feeling old and haggard, and my skin was looking worse than ever before.
You can even see how depressed I am in the below no-make-up-selfie:

WIN | My Little Picasso Experience

The day before schools went back a couple friends and I decided last minute to take our littles for a fun outing. We threw around a few ideas and then settled on the new “My Little Picasso” we had heard a few moms raving about at Cornubia Mall. We headed to the new-ish mall (it opened doors 28 September 2017), five kiddies to three mamas (I left Miss B home to nap).  Continue reading “WIN | My Little Picasso Experience”

Review | LG Smart Inverter Top Loader

If you have followed me a while you will know that we are so very excited to be building a house – a dream come true for us, complete with a big garden for our babies to play in all day long! So you can only imagine my pure joy and excitement when LG contacted me to try out and feedback on their new LG Smart Inverter Top Loader washing machine. A new machine for our new home! I cannot explain how excited I was, particularly because our washing machine prior to this thing of beauty was something that had been around and used by Justin and his digs-mates since 10 years ago, old, noisy, and very, very average.

Makakatana Bay Lodge

When it comes to getting away, I personally have never found any vacay to be more relaxing than a bush vacay! I don’t know if you feel the same way, but the moment I enter the gates of a game reserve it is as if all my stress is left outside those mile-long wire fences, and I instantly become lighter and freer! It was the same, if not even more so, when Justin and I escaped for two nights to 4 star Makakatana Bay Lodge over my birthday.  I say possibly even more so because Makakatana Bay Lodge is situated within iSimangaliso Wetland Park, so not only is it lush and green, which is always good for the soul, but it is located on the western shores, and so offers a true bush experience while being closely situated to the coast and lake St Lucia estuary, which is very unique and special. And… can you say TRANQUIL?
