You won’t believe how many moms I have heard say they don’t want more than two kids because they “don’t want to drive a bus” and “7 seater cars are SO much more expensive“! Well, may I introduce you to the all new, Peugeot 5008 7 Seater SUV; a revolution for the mom-mobile market!
In July I was asked to review the FitChef meals and I have been inundated by questions from you all asking how we found it and if I would recommend it! Justin and I were very kindly sent the 21 day couples challenge to try, and here are our thoughts:
Arrival: It is safe to say that the order process and delivery as well as packaging of the FitChef meals impressed me from the minute the delivery man arrived with 4 (rather large) boxes, chilled and sealed. Opening the boxes was one of the most exciting unboxes I have done this year, and I couldn’t stop grinning from ear-to-ear at the thought of not having to meal-plan, prep or cook for Justin and I for at least 21 days! Bliss!
It was such a huge blessing having the input, design skills and assistance of this awesome trio of family-run businesses! Husband & wife team, Nadine and Ricardo Moodley, along with mom Sheryl Ann Naidoo, all own this powerhouse set of businesses, which bring huge value to a party or event.

We celebrated our little baby girl with the most perfectly PINK party, put together by the incredibly talented and wonderfully special Natasha Parsons from POSH Events. Historically I have always taken huge pride in throwing my kids’ parties myself, but I found myself without the time and energy, and Tash was an absolute lifesaver, and allowed me to feel completely part of the process, beginning to end!
I honestly cannot sing Tash’s praises highly enough. She heard my dreams for the party, put together a mood boards, worked within budget, and went above and beyond in terms of effort and time on this party. The details that she added to the event were too special, and she is made for this party planning life!
Our little two year old absolutely loved being the centre of attention, and particularly loved her jumping castle, and spent hours on it before, during and after the party!
Tash did all the decor – complete with perfume bottles that resembled the Chanel No 5 bottles #LOVE
She arranged all the suppliers and all set up and break down of all items. This included the balloons, of which a few of the tutu balloons popped before the party stared due to the wind and Tash arranged for the supplier to come back and do some more for us!!
In concept stage of our house we had lots of ideas. There were loads of ideas of things we loved and hoped to try incorporate. I think I had hundreds of boards and pins on my Pinterest account, all individually dedicated to each space in the house. I had an idea of how I wanted to bring wood into the home to bring a more natural feel into the ‘chic’ decor style I was after. Black, white and gold can be a slightly harsh base from which to build your mood board, but by incorporating some natural elements like leather and wood can transform it into a chic yet warm and inviting living space.
It was all fairly simple to pin together mood boards of our dream of what the space should look like, but when these hopes & dreams were followed up with quotes and costings we just about cried ourselves to sleep at night… okay maybe that was just me…!
I seem to get a lot of interaction when I share my OOTD posts on my Insta stories, so I thought I would put a little post together with some of my faves from August and September, linking or sharing the source of the clothes and shoes (cos you always seem to ask 🙂
One of the most emotionally taxing experiences of my life so far
A few weeks ago we were invited to go away with friends to Phinda Bayete for a weekend in the bush. I have never been to Phinda, and being invited to this exclusive “Friends of Phinda” camp was such a treat for us. With the help of Justin’s mom and an Aupair who cared for our babies, we escaped for what was destined to be a magical weekend. We had no idea just what an experience was ahead of us! When I asked Jordy what theme he wanted for his birthday he responded – “I want what Jackson is having for his party”… He has serious heart eyes for his big brother, and wants everything he wants! But Jackson wanted a small Pirate Party with his besties, complete with a treasure hunt. Jordy though, as much as he idolises his big bro-bestie, is very different to him.
