Here is the process you will take to set up a drive in your neighbourhood. Please understand that the SANBS and SABMR want to do everything in their power to assist anyone in running a drive, (we need as many as humanly possible countrywide), but they also need some time to coordinate things from their side. Often the blood bank needs to close clinics in order to get staff to a venue – and they also need to work between travel schedules.Continue reading “How to set up a Blood & Stem Cell Drive”
Early May we were lucky enough to head to the Cape for a few days, and even luckier still to spend time at the highly rated 12 Apostles Hotel located in Camps Bay. The hotel is positioned such that it feels it is the only place between the majestic Twelve Apostles and Table Mountain, with a view of the Atlantic that makes your heart flutter.Continue reading “The 12 Apostles | Review”
Before we knew it April was upon us this year, and a week before our anniversary Justin & I looked at one another with a blank look when someone asked us what our plans to celebrate were.Continue reading “Coco De Mer”
Early March I joined a group of girls to the bush for a 3 night stay in Bela Bela.
After the speed in which Jan & Feb passed us, as well as coming out of the second wave of Covid in SA, it was such a welcome vacay!

My little girl turned FOUR in Feb this year (2021), and she knew exactly what she wanted for her party. She is a real little lady who loves all things pamper & beauty, and so a Pamper Party was the perfect fit for our princess B.
Seeing as we are still amid a global pandemic we took care to keep her party small, inviting only the children she plays closely with in her class, a couple of her besties-since-birth outside of school, and their mamas. This meant no siblings allowed – not even her brothers. 🙁Continue reading “Brooklyn’s 4th Birthday”
Ever since we heard about the Cavern Resort & Spa in 2018 and paid it a visit, we have been enamoured with the place and it is an honour to share this special gem with you all. The Cavern, founded by Bill Carte in 1941, is still a family run business, and with that creates what I believe to be the heart of the resort. It is, in my opinion, far more special than a business-run resort with “one in one out” mentality. Megan & Hilton Bedingham run The Cavern with love & heart, and that can be felt throughout the resort. The family eats nightly in the same dining hall as guests, and with a weekly ‘snacks in the bar’, genuinely seem to care for making connections with their guests. See discount code at end of this post 🙂

I asked some of my fellow community for some ideas for B’s 4th birthday party and boy, they delivered 🙂 There were many repeats, but close to 50 original ideas! Thank you all. Brooke’s 4th party theme is hidden somewhere in the list below 😉Continue reading “Girly Birthday Party Ideas”
How do you create the perfect Boho Chic Picnic baby shower?
Well, if you live in Durban you hit up all the suppliers mentioned in this post, they know what to do 🙂
Celebrating the men of our homes is such an honour, and I thought what a better way than to celebrate them whilst also supporting small businesses who have survived lockdown by the skin of their figurative teeth 🙂
I hope you love the guide as much as I do and please do tag me in your purchases on Insta so I can reshare and know who you supported
1. the quality of being kind and generous.
We know well the meaning of generosity, but what does it mean to you?
I believe that generosity is, at its core, an instinct to go above and beyond, in the selfless hope of genuinely improving another persons’s life. Cadbury Dairy Milk believes ‘There’s a glass & a half of generosity in everyone’. Now more than ever, there’s a real need for generosity and for us to give to our most vulnerable – our children. The reality is that despite what’s happening around us, now more than ever, our children deserve the precious gift of childhood. You might have seen the Cadbury Dairy Milk ‘The Little Generosity Shop’ and ‘GenerosiTrees’ activations that collected more than 100 000 pre-loved toys for orphaned and vulnerable children last year. Well, Cadbury Dairy Milk is once again calling on all South Africans to support orphaned and vulnerable children by facilitating their right to play. The wonderful news for us is that we can be a part of this – part of being generous – in one of the simplest ways imaginable!
