Weekend in Pics |May 18-20

What a wonderful weekend we had! One that left the love tanks feeling full and hearts warm.

Here it is in pics:

FRIYAY:
Friday afternoon I fetched kiddies from school and the boys had Chloe come to play. We went past KFC on our way home for their favourite treat: Sprinkle Pops, and then they played all afternoon. Jackson called me over to see he had spelt out his name on the fridge, and then he worded out the letters too. So proud of this little man. He just loves learning.

Jackson then spent two hours into the evening working on a very special card for me – my biggest and most special card ever!! He even drew Gogo on the card (our nanny), wrote “Gogo”, “coco”, “Jackson” and “mom” and was so proud, so was I!!

SATURDAY:
One of our favourite things to do on the weekend is to have a lazy morning, with everyone joining us in bed, waking slowly while mom and dad sip on coffee (which dad has lovingly made). My best are these sleepy just-woke-up faces!

Brooklyn still naps 9-10.30am every morning, which is a little limiting on weekends, so we asked our nanny (who lives in) to stay inside while she slept so we could take the boys out for waffles. We went to one of our fave little places, Tree Natural at Lifestyle Market, for their delicious waffles and frozen yoghurt. We all shared one (actually just 3 of us shared – Jackson had Avo on toast), quickly popped into Dischem for some essentials, and then headed home to our baby girl.

We got home to our happy little snotty baby and decided that a little walk was a good idea to wear the boys out before their naps! (Jackson still naps once every 3/4 days, and Jordy everyday – I know, its crazy, but they need and love their sleep.
We are absolutely loving living in our beautiful little estate, it’s been a perfect move for our family!

A very special moment and something that touches me. As far as I can recall I have never spoken of my grandpa called Popsy who died when I was little. When my Nana was last here Jordy started talking out-of-the-blue about my Popsy who died. He had never done this before, and it was eery timing, being now with my Nana being here. I brushed it off as nothing… but then on our walk the boys were finding dandelions and blowing them. Jackson made wishes and Jordy just tried to see how fast he could blow them out. Then all of a sudden Jordy got very protective of one dandelion he found. He said it was for Popsy, Popsy who died. Then he quickly said it was for Nana. It left me feeling so touched. I really felt like it was a gift for Nana from my Popsy. I told her and sent her the video of Jordy saying it as well as a pic of the dandelion he said was for her. She was so touched and she too believed it was very special. Jordy still has that dandelion in one of my tuppaware lunchboxes. I wish we could preserve it in some way.

The boys went down for their naps and I had some ME time {bliss}.
I applied one of the new L’oreal Clay Masks I bought and put my purple shampoo on my hair, shaved my legs and then washed and styled my hair. A heavenly two hours!! While the boys were napping we were invited to an early dinner with friends, so the beautifying had a purpose 🙂

Just loving these clay masks and can’t wait to tell you more in an upcoming post!

We went to Mythos, a Greek restaurant at Ballito’s Lifestyle Market. We were once again blown away by the entire experience. The service was exceptional, food delicious, and the way we were welcomed, children entertained and included, and tended to was just brilliant. A welcomed change, when compared to general service levels in restaurants today!

We had the very best evening with special friends, shared laughs, a few drinks and created memories! We were home by 8pm and boys passed out by 8.05pm.

SUNDAY:
Sunday morning we had some of our best friends over. Tashi has been my bestie for 21years, and is not only Brooklyn’s godmother, but also helped deliver her! Sadly I didn’t take any pics, but they came over from around 11am – 1pm. We had croissants with scrambled eggs and bacon (Georgie’s, of course!) , and I got cuddles with Tashi’s little 4mo Luca.

The kids were so cute while Tashi & JL were visiting, they were playing “stealth” and kept hiding, running quickly from place to place without us seeing. They managed to sneak their Totem Teepee past us, up to the top of the lawn. They took with them a book, mat and their little sister, and closed themselves in the teepee. I snuck up on them only to find them telling stories. Tooooo flippin’ cute!

We were then blown away by our little boys who took themselves up to bed and both passed out! I knew Jackson must be coming down with something as he NEVER sleeps two days in a row, but we didn’t even hear  them! They were out for the count and we woke them at 2.15pm so that they could go to the Jump Park with my brother, their uncle Chaddie.

While they were there we quickly popped over to see our very special friend’s who just added another little blessing to their perfect family. Little Jagger gave me the sweetest cuddles and our hearts are bursting for this family of world-changers!

We got home and Justin took the boys to buy milk and fill the car with petrol and Miss B and I had a fun bath together – I tried on another L’oreal mask – LOVINGS!!

And then it was dinner and bed. The boys have been doing the sweetest thing since Mother’s Day. At prayer time, which we do on their beds, they take turns massaging me. One one my back and the other on my feet. Mostly its just prodding and poking, but their little hearts are just too sweet.

Whilst it ended up being a very busy weekend, we got special time with our babies and our close friends, and so the weekend ended on a high. Hearts full.

Hope you had a lovely weekend too!

XOXO
