Our Valentine’s day in pictures

It was a different Valentine’s for me. Waking up without my favourite person lying next to me was not the best feeling; Justin was in JHB on a business trip. We are seldom apart from each other, so it stung a little waking up on the “most romantic” day of the year alone. Thankfully though, I had two other mini-Valentines who made me feel loved and adored, starting at 6am when Jackson came through, jumped onto me in bed and said, “Happy Valentine’s Day, Mommy”, as he squeezed me tightly.

From there on it was a crazy morning; getting three kids up and dressed, fed and packed for school single-handedly is no easy task.
Please eat.”
Stop that.”
Hurry up.”
Where are your shoes?
We are late.”
On repeat.

Finallyyyy we made it into the car and out the gate of our estate. We picked Gogo up and off we went to the boys’ school.

Both Jackson & Jordy were on a high. They were looking so very dapper thanks to Let’s Dress Up who had dressed them in top hats, bow ties and smart shirts for Valentines. {It was tough to choose between that and the King of Hearts outfits they had… but I don’t think they could have looked any cuter if they tried!}
Dressed and incredibly excited to show Gogo their school, we arrived. They turned heads all through their walk down to the classrooms. 😍😍

The rest of the day follows in {the cutest) pictures:

THE BEST VALENTINES GIFT OF ALL WAS HAVING JUZZY GET HOME LATER THAT EVENING.
PLUS HE SURPRISED ME WITH THESE INCREDIBLE GIFTS (HE DID HAVE THE HELP OF A SPECIAL FRIEND WHO DELIVERED THEM AND HID THEM IN THE GARAGE FOR HIM TO GIVE TO ME WHEN HE ARRIVED HOME):

While it was a different Valentine’s, {which lacked the special date-night and 1-1 time with Juzzy that I would have loved}, I was certainly kept too busy to overthink it.
I just love how my boys LOVE occasions as much as I do. They were so excited to spoil Gogo, their teachers and their friends with little gifts, and they showered me with love all day long. I am a very blessed Mama.
Juzzy and I will have to celebrate with a date night soon though – I’m big on that !! 🙂
